Hot Wheels: Race of Champions

Prolog: Ichika Tachibana

Around the final corner the scream of several cars could be heard. First a trail of smoke, followed by the cars themselves.

“First around the corner, its Ichika Tachibana!” screamed the announcer, “Here they come, side by side!”

Inside her Mitsubishi HKS Evolution, Ichika was feathering the throttle to keep her control. She knew where the car next to her was and wouldn’t let it ruin her race. Finishing the long corner, she felt a tap on the back of her car. Ichika took a glance at the mirror and saw the other war was about to lose control. She hit the gas, changed gears, and watched the crash start in-front of her as she passed the finishing line, backwards.

After the race, Ichika pulled into the winner circle only to see another car in her spot, and a man and her sister standing in-front of it. Ichika pulled up right in-of them, taking off her helmet before stepping out. “Well…. What is Mr. CEO of Reverend Racing doing at a race like this? Sayaka?” Ichika jumped and was caught by her twin sister Sayaka.

“Take this, and the car.” Blake handed Ichika the keys and an envelope.

“So he was someone famous? Why can’t someone like that ever show up at my races?” pouted Sayaka.

“You’ve only been racing for a few weeks now.” As Ichika pat Sayaka on the head, “Besides, your race is starting soon, so you need to go get ready.” As Ichika got back on her own feet.

“Alright…” As Sayaka ran off to get ready, Ichika’s crew took her HKS away to prep it for Sayaka.

Ichika got onto the podium to celebrate leaving the new car where it stood. After the photographs and autographs, she got into the car and looked around it. “Flight….03?” She looked up and saw they were signaling her to move the car. She did so taking the car back to her garage, watching Sayaka pull out in the HKS. “Good luck, Sayaka”, waving at Sayaka. Sayaka waved back at Ichika as she rolled onto the track. Ichika had the car analyzed as she read the letter.

“Dear Ichika Tachibana,

Because of your amazing skill, you are invited to take part in Race of Champions. It is an international race, to find the best of the best. The best in the world are being gathered for this race, and the grand prize includes $5,000,000.00 dollars. If you want to prove yourself to be the best, bring the Flight 03 to the ROC First Track in Vail, Colorado.


PS. Bring Family.”

“Sounds fun.” as she put the letter away. Ichika went up to the control booth as she watched Sayaka’s race.

After the race, Ichika congratulated Sayaka on her win as well. After the party celebrating the sister’s wins, Ichika slipped out of the party with Sayaka. “Guess what.”

“What?” Sayaka with a curious look.

“We’re going on a trip. Pack your bags, we’re headed to Colorado. “ as she hugged Sayaka.

“But we’re both already packed…” as Sayaka sighed and patted Ichika on the head.
